## Frequently Asked Questions

### How do I restore my Premium purchase?

Open **Settings → Restore purchases** in the app, signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe. Premium re-activates automatically.

### How do I cancel my subscription or free trial?

Subscriptions are billed by Apple and managed in iOS:

1. Open **iOS Settings → your Apple ID (top) → Subscriptions**
2. Tap **Aeris**
3. Tap **Cancel Subscription**

Cancel at least 24 hours before your trial or current period ends to avoid the next charge. Deleting the app does **not** cancel a subscription.

### How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit **<https://reportaproblem.apple.com>**, sign in with your Apple ID, and select the purchase. We can't issue refunds directly, but contact us if you need help with the process.

### How do I delete my data?

Open **Settings → Delete my data** in the app. This permanently erases your profile, logs, plan, and buddy conversations from our servers and your device — no email or account needed. It cannot be undone.

### I'm not getting reminders / notifications

1. Check **iOS Settings → Notifications → Aeris** and make sure notifications are allowed
2. In the app, check **Settings → Reminders** to confirm your reminder windows
3. Focus modes (Do Not Disturb, Sleep) can silence notifications

### How do I change the app language?

Open **Settings → Language** in the app. Aeris speaks 9 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Italian, Japanese, and Korean.

### Does Aeris need an account?

No. Aeris works without any sign-up, email, or password. Your progress is tied anonymously to your device and survives reinstalls. See our Privacy Policy for details.

### How does the Buddy feature work?

Buddy (optional) matches you with another Aeris user on a similar quit journey for mutual encouragement. Only your chosen display name, quit stats, and coarse country are visible. To report an inappropriate buddy or message, use Settings → Contact us — we act on reports within 24 hours.

### Is Aeris medical advice?

No. Aeris is a motivational companion, not a medical device or cessation therapy. For medical questions about quitting nicotine, talk to a healthcare professional. In an emergency, contact emergency services.
